Glad I found your video. I was looking for the name of this gentleman. I saw him singing when I visited Galway in August 2022. I regretted not buying a CD because I was in a hurry to get back to the tour bus.

Una Taaffe was said to be related to Count Taaffe who was a statesman in Austria 🇦🇹...it is said that Count Taaffe has some clandestine information as regards events that occurred on the 30th January 1889 at Mayerling, a hunting-lodge in the Vienna woods ❤️ 🇦🇹 💔 when Crown Prince Rudolf and his mistress Mary Vetsera were found shot dead there...in an event that altered European history...Una Taafe was indeed a famous figure from old Galway, Ireland 🇮🇪

Big Tom and the Mainliners. ( junkies swarmed to his NY gig) Mario the opera singer at The Oslo. Paddle Boats. Supply Demand and Curve at The Saxo.The Woods Band.Rock and Roll Circus.(Where's Seamus Kellagher ?) .Samba and the Philosophers .Skull. Dicklerfitz at The Tartan Lounge. A million marvelous memories.

My Mam used to work in the Wimpy ....she said it was great craic, she then worked in the Oslo & Warwick hotels. Caught a glimpse of CJs nightclub there beside O'Connors..... my haunt at 17
